Thespian (skit)
One of the finest battles of theatre, you will surely miss the talent quotient if you miss this. The subtlety/distinction of the emotions, the gestures and the story will surely enrapture you and weave you into its web.
Rule List
General Rules are :
1. Skits will have a maximum time limit of 10 minutes. No exceptions. Skits that go over the time limit will be automatically disqualified from the competition.
2. Only one team consisting maximum 8 participants per college is allowed to participate.
3. Groups with skits may only have six (6) people on stage at one time. More people may be entered as part of the group skit, but only six (6) are allowed on stage at one time.
4. Skits will be judged during the prejudging session held before the contest. At this time, content of the skits will be evaluated, so be ready to revise your skit's material if deemed necessary.
5. All audio should be pre-recorded by the performers and digitized to an audio CD. Microphones are unreliable at the best of times, so it is better to have a backup that can be heard throughout the room.
6. Winners for the event will be announced during the final award ceremony.
7. Marking will be done on:
a) Creativity
b) Humor
c) Costume/Dressing
d) Team work
Nukkad (street play)
Energy filled, message sending, fiercely performed, vehemently prepared and hugely spectated event of Street Play is not an art unknown. With dense concentration of enthusiasm, this competition gets tougher every year.
Rule List
General Rules are :
1) A team must have maximum 10 participants.
2) Only a team per college is allowed to participate.
3) The Competition will be conducted in a “Street” like open place and hence no microphones, Speakers, Music systems will be allowed or available. Teams can sing / dance by themselves to create the necessary music or sound.
4) Teams using any props / Costume / Dressing must bring all their requirements and must be ready well in time as per instructions of the organizer. No Props or costume or any material will be provided by the host college.
5) Maximum 30 minutes will be allowed.
6) Teams must rehearse / practice the play well in advance. No Time for rehearsal / Stage practice / final rehearsal will be given during the fest.
7) Decision of Judges will be final and binding on all teams.
8) Marking will be based on:
a) Creativity.
b) Humor.
c) Clarity of Message.
d) Costume/Dressing
e) Team Work.
