I-Struct (Bridge making)
Make it strong, make it quick. Construct a bridge in shortest time to bear the maximum load. Check if its come near to that of Howrah..!! There is a place called Timbaktu which has large stretches of hills and uneven terrain. A bridge is required to be constructed. The only option left out for the bridge construction is to go for a suspension bridge. . Thus the task is TO CONSTRUCT A SUSPENSION BRIDGE
a) Maximum members in a team-4.
b) Presentation at the time of testing will be done by 2 members only.
c) The participants are not allowed to incorporate any other material.
d) Judgment will be based on maximum bearable load by the bridge and the shortest time taken in designing it.
CADded (Designing in CAD)
A technical art. Blend of science and imagination, using principles of cad. Here, Participants have to use CAD, and try to stand up to the running clock AND prove yourself worthy of the challenge we will provide.And a challenge it will be, for sure.
a) Individual participation.
b) Problem statement will be given on the spot.
c) It will be a preliminary and main round based event.
Carbotech (Assembling and de-assembling of Carburetor)
A real mechanical engineer is actually the best mechanic. Assemble and de-assemble the carburetor. This event comprises of disassembling & reassembling of carburetors. This will test the mechanical outcome capability of the participant.
a) Maximum members in a team-2.
b) Carburetors will be given on the Spot.
c) It will be a preliminary and Main round based event.
d) Judgment will be on the basis of accuracy in assembling and the shortest possible time consumed for the same.
Hit By Tricks (Mechanical event)
Be tricky enough to make it a mechanism, to perform a task. Just with daily use materials, you will have to hit out the best mechanism. No electrical/chemical power should be used to drive the mechanism.
a) Maximum members in a team-3.
b) Minimum of seven mechanisms are mandatory.
c) Maximum Time limit is of 30 min.
d) Mechanism should comprise of daily use items only, without using any type of chemical or electrical sources of power or so.
e) Judgment will be on the basis of accuracy of designing and time taken.
